Mr Creep
Meet Martin. He is the creep lurking in the shadows. Familiar yet alien, ‘harmless’ but predatory, comical but unsettling. In this work-in-progress show, we explore Martin in his natural habitat: the grey area in which he flourishes.
It started as a character for a party: Martin, the office creep. He was extremely fun and cathartic to play, and it came easily because Martin has been there all along. Watching us walk home in our school uniforms, snapping our teenage bra straps at our first jobs, touching our legs on the crowded tube. And more ambiguously, in eyes that linger too long, words that reveal inappropriate directions of thought and hands that paw at you whenever they get the chance. He exists in all places and walks of life, and he isn’t going away.
In this informal showing, we playfully explore this realm, experimenting with ideas, films, props and costumes that will lead to a finished version of the show.

She creates events and communities that focus on ideas and experimentation, with the belief that everyone has something creative to offer and can be encouraged to play with the right invitation.
