The Levitating Hamster (And Other Definitely True Stories From Science)

This performance has now sold out. To see other upcoming shows from Richard, visit: https://linktr.ee/thatscienceguy

A Nobel prize-winning hamster, a Beach Boys tribute to the Big Bang, and an exploration of cat genius collide in a show packed with bizarre facts and weird connections, where science is hilariously stranger than fiction. Blending true stories with a delightful sense of the absurd, one man and his PowerPoint will make you laugh, make you think, then make you laugh again. “Like Dave Gorman with a PhD.”

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

Richard Marshall

Richard Marshall delights in the strange connections that arise when stories from science run to their illogical conclusions. After dabbling in comedy for seven years, he was inspired by Ken Campbell to use science as the warp and imagination as a weft to explore the strange places we go in a quest for knowledge and understanding.
Richard has performed standup at Science Showoff and at Secret Garden Party festival, with Church of Burn cabaret. Offstage, he’s written for The Lost Doctor annual, creates events for adults, runs workshops for kids, and hosts PubSci: the monthly Science in a Pub event.
