OUR WORK

Our flagship event was the critically-acclaimed VAULT Festival, the UK’s leading independent showcase of live performance and artistic talent, which delivered over 3,000 bold and brilliant shows to over 476,000 audience members since 2012. Read all about the story of VAULT Festival here.

This was complimented by our work-in-progress festival, A Pinch of VAULT, which we delivered three editions of, between 2022 - 2024, taking place at The Glitch, Sino Thai, Union Theatre and Alaska Waterloo. A Pinch of VAULT showcased more than 250 brand new works across theatre, comedy and cabaret.

During the pandemic we launched VAULT Video Club, giving people the opportunity to watch award winning shows and audience faves from past VAULT Festival at home. Filmed in partnership with LIVR, audiences were able to watch the shows in stunning 360° virtual reality from “the best seat in the house”. Plus, audience joined us every Thursday at 7pm for a super fun Watch Party over on Twitter using #VAULTVideoClub, and all tickets were Pay What You Can.

As well as our festivals, we delivered creative development opportunities like VAULT Young Company, VAULT New Writers, Directors & Critics, and VAULT Five. These programmes provided mentorship and professional development for new creatives taking their first steps into the industry, as well as the opportunity to showcase their work at VAULT Festival at the end of the project.

Participants of these programmes included: Beth Bowden, Yuxuan Liu, Tatenda Naomi Matsvai, Gaynor O'Flynn, Tatenda Shamiso, Katie Greenall, Gemma Barnett, Casey Bailey, Julene Robinson, Tabby Lamb, Enyu Li, Fatima Serghini, Faye Acheampong, Jasmine Naziha Jones, John Moore, Rosalind Watt, Benjamin Willmott, Beth Murrell, Humira Imtiaz, Mirka Gedi, Nick Ishmael-Perkins, Princess Bestman, Aaliyah Al-Lawal, Yasmine Dankwah, Matt Gurr, Sara Jewell, Drew Paterson, Angie Peña-Arenas, Esohe Uwadiae, Sahra Ali, Elisabeth Lewerenz , Ramsey Hassan , Matt Neubauer, Jenny Novitzky, Sam Cormor, Nkenna Akunna, Nicola Maisie Taylor, Lillian Pierce, Leila Nashef, Joshua Asare, Ifrah Ismail, Chloë Florence, Lydia Cline, JC Niala, Lyla Maeve, Evelyn Chandler, Tara Okeke, Taiwo Ava Oyebola, Ella Satin, Liam O’ Dell, Maxine Smiles, Shanaé Chisholm, Benin Khalil.

We’re passionate about placemaking and developing projects that put culture at the heart of our community. As well as a number of incredible murals; public art installations, and bespoke pop-up and immersive experiences; we produced VAULT Quests (2023-2024), immersive clue hunts that follow a trail of clues as you explore the local area. We launched two Quests: A Bridge Through Time and Snakes & Ladders.

We are creators of The Glitch, a vibrant artsy café, bar, and creative space in the heart of Waterloo. The Glitch provides space for artists to meet, work, and share new material and for community-led events and groups to meet in comfort and safety.
